Going from iPod/iPhone to iTunes

After accidentally writing over my hard drive yesterday (read about it in my “Ubuntu” blog), I lost all of my music. Luckly I have all of my music, applications, movies, ect. on my iPod Video and iPhone.

If your media is purchased: You can plug in your iPod/iPhone and wait, once it is reconized you can right click where your iPod comes up on the sidebar. Right click the name and click “transfer purchases” and there you go.

If you have media that isn’t purchased such as imported cd’s: You’re going to need a program. After googling around for a bit I came across a completely free, easy to use program, it’s called iDump. You can find it at download.com. Download it, plug your iPod in, set your iPod to manual, select the songs you want, select the output folder, and your good to go. I’m bringing in my music as I type this, it’s working nicely and the songs already imported are where they should be/how they should be.
